The Collections

As a prefectural facility, Ibaraki Ceramic Art Museum was opened in April 2000 on a hilltop of Kasama Geijyutsunomori Park. Along with the park's theme; traditional crafts and avant-garde creative arts, the museum was built as a place for everyone to enjoy arts.

Inspiration, Enlightenment and Amusement as the three keywords, the management at the museum are striving for better appreciation of ceramic art works.

The Collections

The museum's collection consists of "Great Masters of Modern and Contemporary Japanese Ceramic Art" in Gallery 1, and "Ceramic Art in Ibaraki" in Gallery 2.
